The Client is establishing a Central Sales Team to compliment the field based sales capability to promote the investment product range. Within the central team, a central Business Development Manager, is responsible for promotion of investments using remote channels, predominantly telephone and email. A central Business Development Manager will also support the design and organising of campaigns and promotional events such as conferences and seminars and will work closely with field based sales people which will require account visits from time to time. It would be expected that the role holder would progress to a field based position within 2 to 3 years. The role holder would be responsible for delivering to pre agreed targets in respect to campaigns and specific accounts for which they will have an accountability. Targets will be madebased on activity and the accomplishment of investment product sales. Achieve objectives within the framework of a sales team wide business development strategy and contact strategy for accounts. Will have targets in respect to accounts they have lead responsibility for and ones for which the lead responsibility will be a field based Business Development Manager. Also have campaign based targets which, for example, might relate to the development of new to business relationships via a promotional campaign. Build relationships with IFA contacts with a view to supporting the creation of business partnerships rather than one off sales. Work with IFAs to review their business requirements with a view to assisting them to create greater revenue. In this context, play different roles depending on the contact requirement. This could range from being a product expert / trainer to providing information on investment stories that position structured products.
