Our client, an international wealth management organisation is looking to recruit Business Development Managers to complement the field based sales capability to promote the investment/structured product range to the UK based IFA market.
As a Business Development Manager, you would be responsible for the promotion of investments/structured products using remote channels, predominantly telephone and email. You will also support the design and organising of campaigns and promotional events such as conferences and seminars and will work closely with field based sales people, which will require account visits from time to time.
Working with IFA’s to review their business requirements with a view to assisting them to create greater revenue. In this context, play different roles depending on the contact requirement. This could range from being a product expert / trainer to providing information on investment stories that position structured products.
There are genuine opportunities to progress.
In terms of experience you will need to have good investment knowledge, however training on specific products will be provided. Ideally the role holder will have had previous experience in third party investment distribution via an investment management or similar organisation. You must be a self-starter and team player with good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial as is the ability to maximise income potential. You will require a good understanding of the economic environment and the impact of market data on the financial markets.
You will ideally hold FPC or equivalent and be willing to work towards Investment based qualifications. .
